Saiyoji Temple Main Hall
Kanazawa City Designated Cultural Property
The Saiyoji temple main hall is a Buddhist temple that historically was designated as "furegashira" in Tiantai Buddhism (a regulatory role within the Buddhist sect). Its location, lending it a view of unparalleled beauty, emphasizes this high social standing and the historical landscape of the grounds invokes the mysteries of the Edo period. An invaluable historical plaque remains, carrying details on the hall’s construction such as the year of construction, which was 1783.
